Teachers and students from the School of Geography Science and Planning at Ningxia University visited and exchanged ideas at Zhongdi Science and Technology Park
On July 11, 2025, under the leadership of Associate Professor He Jie and two other teachers, a total of 39 people from the School of Geographical Sciences and Planning of Ningxia University visited Zhongdi Science and Technology Park for exchange. Zhongdi Digital and Xinzhongdi Education gave warm reception.
First, Xing Ying, Manager of the University Cooperation Department of Xinzhongdi Education, led the teachers and students to visit the Zhongdi Digital History and Culture Exhibition Hall, explaining to the students the development history of Zhongdi Digital as a domestic software company in the GIS industry over more than 30 years of entrepreneurship and the research achievements obtained in independent innovation of domestic GIS technology. She encouraged the students to bravely scale new heights in the future and contribute to the development of domestic software.

The second stop was for teachers and students to visit Zhongdi Digital's office area. Manager Xing Ying explained the basic operations and industry characteristics of various departments, and took Zhongdi Digital as an example to explain the employment positions that GIS companies can provide and the skill requirements for personnel in each position, so that students can clearly understand the positioning of their majors in the job market as early as possible, help students master relevant job skills early, and broaden their future career paths.
Afterwards, Fang Huchao, Deputy Secretary General of the National Geographic Information System Industry Innovation Strategy Alliance and Manager of Xinzhongdi Education, gave a report titled "Geographic Information Industry Development and Career Planning" to the teachers and students of Ningxia University.
Based on his many years of work experience in the geospatial information field including surveying and mapping, digital cities, and natural resources, Mr. Fang detailed the development trends of the GIS industry, the latest technological achievements, the latest applications of GIS technology, the various skills required for major employment positions in the GIS industry, and the future development trajectory of each position. He also gave sincere advice to students on career planning and self-improvement after graduation.
Currently, under the influence and promotion of multiple factors such as technological development represented by artificial intelligence and big data, new opportunities and challenges have emerged, and new requirements have been placed on the comprehensive quality and professional skills of talents. Mr. Fang also introduced the case results of Zhongdi Digital and Xinzhongdi Education leveraging their advantages to jointly train cross-disciplinary and compound talents with universities across the country.
During the exchange session, students raised their hands to speak one after another. Through learning from the valuable experience from enterprises, they further understood the technological development trends of the industry, conducted career planning in combination with their personal situations, and found development paths suitable for themselves.
