The GIS Development Summer Training Camp jointly organized by Zhongdi Digital, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Hubei University has successfully concluded
On July 18, 2025, the GIS Development Summer Training Camp, a joint project between New Zhongdi Education under Zhongdi Digital, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Hubei University, successfully concluded。
This project aims to; Theory+Practice; After four weeks of intensive learning, the dual wheel drive mode joint training was successfully held at the Zhongdi Science and Technology Park, presided over by Professor Fang Huchao, the director of New Zhongdi Education and Research.
The leaders and judges attending the graduation ceremony of this practical training include Professor Wang Chengbin, Deputy Director of the School of Resources at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Professor Wang Hong, Director of the School of Resources and Environment at Hubei University, Professor Fang Huchao, Director of Teaching and Research at New China Land Education, and Professor Ai Wei, Manager of the School Enterprise Cooperation Department at New China Land Education.
Subsequently, the ceremony entered the most anticipated stage of showcasing project achievements. The students participating in the practical training will form groups of four and take turns on stage to defend their projects and demonstrate their achievements. Each group approaches the development project from different perspectives around the application scenarios of smart cities.
Some groups focus on environmental protection and culture, and build a data-driven visual platform for a beautiful China through four aspects: "sky blue", "earth green", "water clear", and "human harmony".
Some focus on "smart city" and realize the route GDP Integration of multi-source data such as flights and multi-layer interaction functions;
Some are deeply involved in "smart cultural tourism" and have developed comprehensive cultural tourism management systems that combine scenic spot distribution, air flights, scenic spot routes, navigation systems, etc;
Some teams have also created a "smart mineral" platform, which combines local mineral reserves with map spatial analysis to provide support for planning decisions.
During the demonstration, the students clearly explained the development ideas, technical architecture, implementation process, and their own practical experience of the project, fully demonstrating their solid gains in the training.
After a comprehensive evaluation by the judging panel from the dimensions of technical difficulty, practicality, innovation, and team collaboration, the fifth group of the School of Resources and Environment at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and the second group of the School of Resources and Environment at Hubei University stood out with outstanding projects that highlight technical highlights and have practical application scenarios, and were awarded the "Excellent Team" honor in this training.
Professor Hu Chao from Xinzhongdi Education and Professor Wang Chengbin from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) presented exquisite prizes to the winning team as encouragement.
At the end of the ceremony, all teachers and students took a group photo in the conference hall, marking a successful conclusion to this enriching and enriching summer training. The successful organization of this school enterprise joint training not only deepens the integration of industry and education, but also promotes the precise connection between talent cultivation in the geographic information industry and market demand, and builds an efficient bridge for the industry to supply reserve forces.
We look forward to more college students entering the field of GIS development through such practical industry university research cooperation platforms in the future, empowering the development of smart cities with technological innovation, and sharing geographical wisdom.
